Chief Stone & Captain Cox showing the new tahoe

Adding the Tahoe to the fleet is just one part of Chief Stone’s commitment and promise to keep the community safe by having at least half our patrol fleet in SUV’s - 4x4’s. This was part Chief Stone’s 3 year plan as chief of police. Its better to serve a barrier island no matter what the weather is with a SUV vehicle. The vehicle can be used during winter snow storms or during the summer months. During beach emergency the officer does not have to respond to the station and get a SUV to respond to the emergency. Now at all times during the shifts the SUV will be deployed to respond to  an emergency no matter where it is.
