On April 10th, Police received a call of a missing/runaway child. Officer began an immediate search of the area and he was entered into the National Crime Information Computer System as a runaway. As the search continued, Sgt. Wodazak contacted the “A Child is Missing” program. They in turn sent out a  type of call to the island alerting the residents and businesses of the missing child. Shortly after the call went out, an observant citizen called in a sighting. The caller had overhead the message at a local business and on her way home, saw a young man who fit the description. She immediately contacted Police and he was located a short while later by Officers responding. We cannot thank the “A Child is Missing” program nor the residents of our town enough, for calling in their sightings and helping us locate the young man.
