On August 30, 2012 Officer Devine  observed a small child struggling in the water at the Brigantine Beach Cove.  It was later determined that the child had fallen off a large float.  Officer Devine  went into the water and saved the child (Kayden Parsio, 4 years old) from drowning. Officer Devine carried the child to shore and administered medical assistance by clearing the child’s airway. The child was transported to the hospital where he made a quick recovery.  It is due to Officer Devine’s quick actions and lifesaving skills that this child is alive today. Officer Devine shown here with Kayden Parsio, 4 years old and his father.

Congratulations on a job well done.
