Police Blotter for September 12 2012


We have received multiple reports of a scam going on via fax machines. Callers are reporting they received a fax from an individual (Ghana and other African nations) offering a business venture with a deposit of 95 million dollars. The fax asks for personal information including full name, date of birth, and address. If you receive such a fax (OR EMAIL) please just delete it or throw it away.

For the week ending September 12, 2012 , the Brigantine Police Department responded to approximately 350 calls for service, including 59 Motor Vehicle Stops/Incidents (with 24 Summonses issued), 6 Domestic Disputes, and 2 Traffic Accidents.

September 8th: A 27 year old Allentown Pa male was arrested on multiple warrants by Officer Brown.

We ask for your continued vigilance and remind our residents to keep your vehicles, bicycles, and homes locked!

All persons listed are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
