Brigantine Evacaution Route

 

The major evacuation routes for Atlantic County are: Atlantic City Expressway, the Garden State Parkway, US 9, US 30, US 40, US 322, State Routes 50, 87 and County Routes 559, Alt. 559 and Alt. 561.

Residents are urged to leave ..  When the  Hurricane Sandy arrives there might be  chance that Emergency Personal will not be able to respond if a ” NO GO ” ORDER IS ISSED. So I urge everyone to please leave the island immediately. Good Luck .. and STAY SAFE..
Briagntine Police Department has ordered a mandatory evacuation for Brigantine Beach NJ
This notice affects all residents and businesses of Brigantine Beach Atlantic County will be opening shelters effective 8am Sunday, they are located at the Pleasantville Middle and High Schools along with Buena Regional Middle and High Schools. The Buena schools are Pet Friendly, P’ville is not. There will also be a medical/special needs shelter opening at St Augustine’s Prep. General evacuees will be turned away; the shelter is strictly for persons in need of medical supervision or other special needs. We have no plans at this time to open the Community Center as a shelter, as we will have no supplies available and it will at best be a location to get out of the rain and wind.
