Brigantine Police participates in Shop with a Cop program

shopWaCop-logoBrigantine NJ, December 6, 2014. .. The Shop with a Cop program was started in Egg Harbor Township. The goal is to provide families the opportunity to have a Christmas that they otherwise would not have. Thanks to local businesses and individuals, this program has taken over 100 children Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart. Each child receives a $100 gift card to Wal-Mart. The children are allowed to purchase anything they want
Shop With A Cop is not just about taking the children shopping. It’s about making them feel loved during a very special time of the year and creating memories and a bond with local police officers. Children will be provided breakfast, have a chance to visit with Santa and talk with police officers from throughout Atlantic County. The most exciting part of the day will not be the shopping, but a police and fire vehicle parade with lights and sirens from the EHT PAL Center to Walmart in Mays Landing. These are memories that will last a lifetime for some of the neediest children in our area!

Officer Joseph Sweet and Chief Reed along with Santa Helpers Sarah & Abigail helped their Brigantine Family Shop for Toys.
