The Brigantine Police Department fingerprinted the Brigantine school kids today.

The Brigantine Police Department fingerprinted the Brigantine school kids today. The fingerprints were placed in Child ID Kits that were distributed to each child who wished to have one.  The Child ID Kits contain vital information of the child, including photograph and fingerprints, in case the child goes missing.  Once the kids were fingerprinted, the Child ID kits were given to them to take home to keep for their records.  The Brigantine Police Department does not keep any record of the Child ID Kit.  If you did not receive a kit from your child (Must sign permission slip with the school) and you wish to receive one, please contact the school.  The Child ID kits can also be used for elderly or children with disabilities.  If you wish to have a kit, and are not in the Brigantine School, please contact Det Steven Ward 266-7600 x 270 at the Brigantine Police Department.

The Police department wants to remind you that your fingerprints never change, but your appearance does. So, it is encouraged that you update the kit with current photographs of the child. Chief John Stone would like to thank the parents and the school for their cooperation in helping keep our children safe.
